Dr. Theo Westmoreland received his medical degree from the University of Louisville in 1855 and began his practice in Prospect (Giles Co.) Tennessee. He joined the Confederate Army and served as a surgeon in Quall's Brigade. After the war, he set up his office in the West Limestone area. He later had businesses in Athens, AL.
