Asa Pettit is the son of James and Mary Ann (Sealey) Pettit and was the twin of Matilda Pettit. he was the Husband of Susan Seaman [memorial #31767473]. Susan filed for divorce for reasons of cruelty. The divorce was discontinued after parties agreed to a settlement in which Asa was to sell his property and pay Susan her share. Asa and Susan were not legally divorced but separated under court oversight.
