Sikeston - Funeral service for Norene Singleton of Sikeston will be held at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Singleton, 90 years old, died Dec. 10, 2000, at the Miner Nursing Facility.
She was born Mar. 5, 1910, in Oakton, Ky., daughter of Lawrence W. and Etta Pearl Moore Ables. She and Joseph Earl Singleton were married in 1931. He died Mar. 23, 1995.
She had lived in Sikeston most of her life and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include a brother, Cline Ables; a sister, Alma Henderson; two granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and two sisters.
