William Mandred CURRY, son of Daniel CURRY and Susannah STAFFORD, He married Elizabeth CURL, 03 Apr 1844 in Adams Co.,Illinois.

Death of an Old and Respected Citizen
William M. Curry, one of the oldest settlers and most respected citizens of Adams County, died at his home in Clayton Township on the evening of Nov. 29. The deceased was born in Jefferson County, Kentucky, June 9, 1819, and came to Adams County in the fall of 1837, and settled in Clayton Township, where he continued to reside until the time of his death. He was married to Elizabeth Curl April 3, 1844. To them were born ten children, three boys and seven girls. Two girls have since died; of the remaining children all are married except the youngest, a daughter, who has been the constant attendant and companion of her father since the death of his wife, some three years since. William Curry was a man who was universally loved and respected by all who knew him, a man whose word was sacred as his oath, and who, by his honorable upright life, had gained the confidence of his fellowmen.
The funeral services were conducted by the writer, from Pleasant View Church, where the largest congregation of friends and relatives seen at that place in many years had assembled to witness the last sad rites, after which the remains were laid to rest beside those of he wife. May God's choicest blessings rest upon the bereaved ones.
