Martha Ann Bryant Bridges, age 94, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021, at her home in Cadiz.
Born August 30, 1926, in Trigg County, she was the daughter of the late James A. Bryant and Mintie Lee Downs Bryant. She was retired from Trigg Manor where she worked as a nurse's aid for over 25 years and was a member of East Cadiz Baptist Church. Known for her infectious smile, Martha was always laughing and had a way of uplifting the spirits of those around her. She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening and tending to her flowers, and solving crossword puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lacy "Dink" Bridges; her son, Dannie Bridges; four brothers, Hicks Bryant, Sam Bryant, Dick Bryant, and Loys Bryant; and three sisters, Mary Noel, Mildred Williams, and Mattie Sholar.
She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Bridges and Kathy Futrell, both of Cadiz; two grandsons, Chad Heilig and Greyson Futrell; two great-granddaughters, Brandy Heilig and Rylan Grace; two great-great grandsons, Brooks Miller and Breck Bottone; and a brother, Billy (Wandine) Bryant of Cadiz.
Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 27, 2021, with the Reverend Joe K. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Trigg Memory Acres. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
