Marie Sholar, 96, Monument, Colo., formerly of Trigg County, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at her home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home, Cadiz.
Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
A native of Trigg County, she was born Dec. 7, 1916, the daughter of the late James Andrew and Mintie Lee Bryant.
She was a seamstress, having worked at the K-D Shop, Manitou Springs, Colo., and for Simpich Character Dolls. She was active at Manitou Springs Elementary School, in Girl Scouts and in 4-H. She had been a member of the Monument (Colo.) Homemaker's Club and Bethany Baptist Church, Colorado Springs, Colo.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Patricia) Unger, Monument; her brother, Bill Bryant, Cadiz; her sister, Martha Bridges, Cadiz; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
