Jesse Crout
Passed away at Mesa
Wednesday

A massive myocardial infarction claimed the life of Mr. Crout while he was shopping in Mesa, Arizona Wednesday afternoon.

Mr. Crout who had lived in the Rock Rapids for many years was 83 years of age & in comparatively good health prior to his passing.

Mr. Crout was born in the Denison, Texas on July 21, 1891, he came to this area before World War I & in 1917 was united in marriage to Dora Freyberg at Ellsworth, Minnesota.

Mr. Crout served in World War I in the United States Army & achieved the rank of Private First Class.

In 1923 the Crout's returned to the Rock Rapids & this was their home until 1949 when they moved to Arizona.

Mr. Crout was a master painter & decorator he worked his trade here & later in Arizona, retiring about ten years ago.

Mr. Crout is survived by wife Dora of home; a daughter Lorraine (Cyril) Deitermann & three sons, Bud (Lola) Crout of Rock Rapids; Fabian Crout in the Navy; & Vernon (Fran) Crout in the Airforce; eight grandchildren & three great grandchildren.

Services will be at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday at Jongewaard-Strapp Chapel, with interment in Riverview Cemetery. The Rev. Walters will officiate"
