Joe was a member of the Plummer and Pipefitter's Local #521 in Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. This marriage ended in divorce. Joe met Barbara Hamrick in Huntington. They married on May 22, 1971. Born to this union: Barbara "Deanna" born on December 16, 1974, in Huntington. John Charles Chapman born on January 9, 1976 in Alabama. Joe and Barbara moved back to Barbara's home state of Alabama. Joe passed away in Alabama.
