Ada Mae Currey passed away January 25, 1999 at the age of 80 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma.

Ada was born August 17, 1918 in Eldorado, Oklahoma to John M. Robbins and Myrtle Brownlow Robbins. On August 17, 1935 in Eldorado, Oklahoma Henry C. Currey and Ada were united in marriage. She was named for her maternal grandmother, Ada Mae Abernathy Brownlow. She married Henry Cecil Currey 17 Aug 1935 in Eldorado, Oklahoma.

Ada worked for many years as a sales clerk in the Children's Shop in Quanah, Texas. Ada was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

She is survived by her husband, Henry (H.C.) Currey; two children, Beverly Wefer and Don of Eldorado, Oklahoma, and Tressa Weathers and Jim of Meridan, MS, three sisters, Lena Harris of Walters, Oklahoma, Eva Nichols of Quanah, Texas, Neva Horton of Quanah, Texas. Also surviving are four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held January 27, 1999 at First United Methodist Church in Eldorado, Oklahoma.
