H C was the oldest son of John Henry Currey and Alma Frances Lee Currey. He was born near Eldorado, Oklahoma. Lee Currey was his brother. On 17 Aug 1935 he married Ada Mae Robbins in Eldorado. They were parents of two daughters, Tressa and Beverly. He was Municipal Judge for Eldorado for many years, and was on the City Council. He was an avid supporter of sports. He died in Altus, Oklahoma. Burial was 20 December 2005.
