EPHRAIM J. BORING, a well known resident of Strongstown, died at his home on Wednesday, July 15, 1914, with a complication of diseases. The deceased, who was a son of Reuben Boring, was born March 3, 1842. He was a member of a family of five children, the only surviving member being a brother, John Boring of New Florence. He was a veteran of the Civil War, having served as a member of Company G, Eleventh Regiment P.V. He was married in 1866 to Miss Nancy Roberts, who survives with the following children: Mrs. W. H. (Ann) Boring, J. K. Boring & H. E. Boring of New Florence, John Boring of Clyde, T. H. Boring of DuBois, Mrs. J. G. (Martha) Adams of Indiana, Mrs. T. D. (Margaret) Bennett of Strongstown, Mrs. Charles (Nancy) Nakin of Huff, Hughie Boring of Belsano, A. L. Boring and Albert Boring of Bolivar, Gilbert, Evaline & Elda at home. He is also survived by 47 Grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were conducted on Saturday in the M.E. Church at Strongstown by Reverand Weaver of Belsano and interment in the new cemetery in Strongstown.

EPHRAIM J BORING. Ephraim J. Boring died at his home in Strongstown, Wednesday, July 15, aged 72 years. He was a Civil war veteran, having served in Company G, llth Regiment, P. V. His wife and fourteen children survive him. Forty seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive Rev. Weaver conducted the funeral services Saturday, July 18, in the Strongstown M. E. church and interment was made in the new cemetary at Strongstown.
