Mary Teresa Easley, loving wife, devoted mom, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on November 19. She was born on August 20th, 1924 in Sioux City, Iowa to John and Marie Carlson, and grew up in Palestine, Texas. In 1943 Mary came to Baytown after studying Chemistry at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. She worked for Humble Oil, replacing men who had gone to serve in World War II. Mary was a stay at home mom and very involved in all 6 of her children's activities. She loved bridge, volunteering at the library, and being a member of the Country Club Garden Club. She was a member of St. Joseph's and later St. John's Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Society and Serra Club. She and her husband Cleon traveled extensively after he retired from Exxon in 1985. We will also remember her love for crossword puzzles, the Astros, republicans, pancakes, swimming, birthday cards, Christmas, Thanksgiving, family, and friends. Her faith in God and love of family were her constant companions throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Cleon Easley; her son Ed and daughter-in-law Connie of Gig Harbor, Washington; her daughter Carol and son-in-law Gary Brown of Baytown; her son Bob and daughter-in-law Carolyn of Lindsborg, Kansas; her daughter Jane of League City; her son Paul and daughter-in-law Betty of San Antonio; her son Mike and daughter-in-law Sasha of Baytown. She leaves behind 16 grandchildren: Brian Blumn; Benjamin and Chris Brown; Chanda Winandy; Amie Elrod; Brandon, Nicholas, Nicole, Jonathan, Laura, Michael, Doug, David, Daniel, Michael, Olivia and Alexandra Easley; 6 great grandchildren: Maverick Blumn, Colton Easley; Kiara and Tanner Elrod; Clayton and Coleton Winandy. She is also survived by her sister Joan Bringardner of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and her brother Robert Carlson of Tampa, Florida.

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me…and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." John 14: 1-3
