Lora Jane Beatty
Mrs. Lora Jane Beatty, 84, of Apples Corners RD died Thursday at 2:15 p.m. at City Hospital following an illness of several weeks.
She was born Sept. 20, 1889, near Fly, Ohio, a daughter of George Beaver and Margaret Roush Beaver. She had resided in this area for 70 years.
Mrs. Beatty retired in June 1970 as a ware dresser at the Homer Laughlin China Co., and was an honorary member of the IBPAW and a member of the West Point Church of the Nazarene Her husband, Walter T. Beatty, died Jan. 6, 1964.
Survivors include two sons, Floyd H. Beatty of Apples Corner and Walter C. Beatty of Tampa, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Hugh (Margaret) Wilson of Hammondsville; two sister, Mrs. Ollie Wilson of East Liverpool and Mrs. Jesse Powell of Lisbon; 13 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Martin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert J. Fair officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and night.
