Born September 7, 1913 to Minerva Smith and Matthew Alexander Miller. Granddaughter of Joseph F. and Sarah Ellen Richards Smith.

On Tuesday, November 11, 2008, she graduated from Mother Extraordinaire and Angel in Training to Angel First Class. Somewhat miffed that Dad hadn't picked her up sooner, she is undoubtedly enjoying a grand reunion with many of those she held dear. She resided at 3389 Sourh Crestbrook Lane (2540 East) in East Millcreek, Utah at the time of her death.

The family home in East Millcreek was modest but comfortable. Mom kept it neat and clean but most importantly added all the ingredients that made the house into a home where our hearts were centered. Those who seek the meaning of life, need only to have visited Amy's kitchen and sit down for a bowl of homemade apple sauce. There were the telephone numbers and addresses to make sure she kept in touch with an ever wider dispersed family as well as dear friends. The refrigerator was always well stocked, but more importantly was used to display pictures and notes from everywhere. Her kitchen table was well used and we were fed by her good cooking and her counsel. On December 31, 1938, she was married in the Salt Lake Temple to Roald H. Amundsen. Dad admitted this was the best decision he ever made. Roald and Amy served together as Temple Workers for 14 years.

Preceded in death by her husband, Roald; parents; sisters, Ellen, Leanora, Robena, Agnes; brothers, Willard and Joseph. She is survived by brothers, Burton S. and Richard S. Miller; four children, Gayle A. Miller, (Bradley), Austin, (Sharon), Mat, (Jan), Trina A. (Stuart) Neel; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Valley View 12th Ward Chapel, 2125 East Evergreen Avenue (3435 South). Friends may call on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East and at the Church on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
