Services for John D. Margason, 99, Davis Junction, Illinois, retired Landscape gardener, who died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 1957, in Rockford Memorial Hospital, will be held at 1 p. m. Saturday in the Fred C. Olson mortuary, 1001 2nd ave. Born Jan. 28, 1858 in Indiana, son of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Margason. Lived more than 50 years in Rockford and the Rockford area, comming here from Indiana. Married the former Katherine Bain in Kentucky in 1879. She died here in 1924.Survivors include three sons, James W., Harry O. and Charles C., all of Rockford, Illinois; four daughters, Mrs Lawrence (Malissa) Sandstrom, Rockford, Mrs. Lucy Wheelock, Rockford, Mrs. Mattie Van Scoyk, South Bend, Indiana, and Mrs. May Hoyt, Davis Junction, Illinois; 59 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Services at 1:00 P. m. Saturday in Fred C. Olson Mortuary, 1001 2nd ave. Friends may call at the mortuary from 7 p. m. to 8 p. m. Friday.
