E. L. Aultman has a CSA pension application under Crawford Co in the GA archives virtual vault. He says he enlisted in July 1864 and served with Company E of the 5th GA reserves. His unit surrendered April 26, 1865 in Goldsboro, N. C. but he was in the hospital in Macon, GA with Dropsy. Later he suffered a stroke of paralysis. He was discharged from the hospital after the surrender.
