He and 2 of his brothers married Dodson sisters, creating a lot of double cousins in our family.
His siblings nicknamed him "Shark", but no one knows where that came from. I wish I had asked my Gran when she was still living.
He was a quiet, gentle man, tall and thin all his life. He had six brothers and one sister. They were raised in a small one-bedroom house, and eventually the back porch was made into a 2nd bedroom, but it was so tiny it's hard to believe they all slept in there. The house still stands and is still in the family, along with all their land.
