Mrs. A. J. Moore, a resident of the Thornton community for a number of years, died Sunday in Moorcroft at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R.J. Nicolen. Heart trouble was given as the cause of her death.
Amanda Dora Barritt was born in Mercer county, Mo. February 22, 1874. She was united in Marriage August 23, 1891, to A. J. Moore. Six children were born to this union, one of whom a daughter, died in early girlhood.
Immediate relatives surviving her are her husband, three sons, Orvall and Tate, Thornton:and Russell, Edgemont, S.D.;two daughters, Mrs. Otis Howell and Mrs. R.J. Nicolen, Moorcroft; three brothers, Arthur and Charles Barritt, Thornton and Ver, Oregon; and three sisters, Mrs. Finley Cox, Des Moines; Mrs. Green Moore, Lineville, and Mrs. Bert Adair, Woodland, Iowa.
Funeral services were held in Moorcroft Monday, being conducted by Rev. Mrs. Henthorn, pastor of the Advent Christian Church at Thornton, Interment was made in the Moorcroft cemetery.
