Mrs. ELVIRA GLENN, mother of Mrs. JOE ALLEN, is dangerously ill at the home of her daughter, 511 North Dixon.

March 9, 1920
Mrs. ELVIRA GLENN, age 61, one of the pioneer residents of Cooke County, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. JOE ALLEN, on North Dixon, following a general breakdown of health. She was the widow of JOE GLENN, well known citizen of Cooke County who died some years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn resided in the Marysville neighborhood for nine years then moved to Fish Creek where they lived 23 years, later moving to Runnels County. The funeral will be held Thursday from the residence of Joe Allen on North Dixon, with Rev. J. F. PIERCE of the Denton St. Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery. Mrs. Glenn is survived by four daughters, three sons, two brothers, and one sisters, respectively as follows: Mrs. JOE ALLEN and CALLIE BROWDER of Gainesville, Mrs. ROGER DUKE of Grapevine, Mrs. FLORA YOKUM of Portales, New Mexico, ED and HENRY GLENN of Winters, Texas, ALBERT GLENN of Marshall, Texas, ED SMITH of Happy, Texas, HENRY SMITH of Oklahoma City and Mrs. ADA DOWNARD of Gainesville. Pallbearers: EMMET MARSHALL, JOHN COURSEY, BOB CEARNAL, EV. HOCKER, A. T. ALLEN, RICHARD DRESSER. G. J. Carroll in charge.
