Aldah Margaretta Galligher was born March 12, 1912, in Semion [editor: probably Simeon in Cherry County], Nebraska, the daughter of Ernest Rivers and Bertha (Martin) Stilwell. She was educated in Cherry County rural schools and married Dar Delatour February 6, 1938. They lived on Blue Creek, in Arthur County, the Rackett Community, and in Oshkosh. After their divorce she cooked for ranches and hay crews in the Hyannis area. She moved to Valentine where she married Ryvers Gailligher August 21, 1970. They made their home in Fallon, Nevada, for several years before returning to Lewellen in 1980. Ryvers passed away in December 1981.

She was a member of the ABLMP Extension Club, the Lewellen American Legion Auxiliary Unit #14, and the Lewellen Senior Citizens.

Aldah passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning. January 22, 1988, in West Nebraska General Hospital in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, at the age of 73 years, 10 months and 10 days.

Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m.. Saturday, January 25, 1986, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Oshkosh, Nebraska, with Rev. Paul Busch officiating, assisted by Rev. Robert L. Hoeft.

Special music was provided by Cindy Miller singing "In The Garden," and "The Last Mile of the Way." She was accompanied by Linda Cheney.

Pallbearers were Danny Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Mike Boone, John Zorn, Dean Corfield and Rick Parmenter.

Burial was in Ash Hollow Cemetery under the direction of Holechek Funeral Home. Memorials will be shared with the "Jaws of Life" at the Lewellen Fire Dept. and the Lewellen Rescue Unit.

She is survived by sons: Gerald Delatour of Oshkosh, and Vernon Delatour of Kimball; Daughters: Dixie Delatour of Chicago, Illinois, Geraldine Zorn of Oshkosh, Nebraska, and June Bammerlin of Lewellen, Nebraska; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a brother, Clayton Stilwell of Bradley, Illinois; and sisters: Leta Pederson, Joy Foster and Carol Crowe, all of Valentine, Nebraska, Lucy Mills of North Platte, Nebraska, and Josie Lee of Chico, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents. two brothers, four sisters, and one grandson.
