Dick Gray moved to Wabash County, east of Lagro, as a child. He attended Lagro High School. Living along the Wabash River, he loved to fish and hunt.

On Dec. 26, 1937 he married Cordelia Story. They lived in Wabash and had three sons, Daniel, David, and Dennis. Cordelia died March 15, 1944.

On July 31, 1944, Dick married Helen Finnegan. They had one daughter, Earlymond Sue. They moved to Lagro about 1949 and divorced July 20, 1964.

Dick's third marriage was to Annabelle Waye on Dec. 17, 1964. They raised her children, Rodney and Lynn Waye, and in 1965 adopted a son, Ricky. Annabelle died October 3,1976.

Dick worked on paving roads and later became the maintenance man for the Town of Lagro retiring June 27, 1981.

In addition to his children, he is survived by 10 grandchildren.
