Dr. J.E. Culver dies after a long illness.
Dr. J.E. Culver, for years widely known as a veterinary surgeon, died at his home in Bloomville last Thursday, March 9. He had been in failing health for the past few years. He was aged 66 years, 10 months, and 7 days.
Mr. Culver was born in Scipio township, May 2, 1866. Early in life he became a resident of Bloomville where he continued to live until his death and where he practiced his profession.
In the year of 1887 he was united in marriage to Miss Christena Allgyre who survives him. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Milton Beeghly, of Bloomville. One son, George Culver, an employee of the Bloomville Gazette office, preceded the father in death a number of years ago. The funeral services were held in the home Sunday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. Thomas Weisenborn of the United Brethern church. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
