Funeral Services were held at 2 P.M. at the Toland Funeral Home.
The Rev. Arthur V. Long, Minister of the First United Methodist Church conducted services. Burial followed in Newton Union Cemetery.
Survivors were her husband Bill and five sons;Kenneth J. Johnson, Donald E. Johnson, John L. Johnson and Merle C. Johnson all of Newton, Iowa. Robert P. Johnson of Mount Terrace, WA; three daughters, Mrs. Elzie (Frances)Larrison and Mrs. Walter (Florence)Brochin of Connersville,IN; and Miss Betty Jean Johnson of Los Angeles, CA; 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Mildred Mabel) Sawyer of Alden, IA and two sons; Joseph and Charles.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Methodist Church.
The daughter of Mr. & Mrs. James Cowan of Utica, NY; she was born Dec 5, 1889 at Norfolk, NY.
She was married to William Earnest Johnson in 1906 in Norfolk, NY.
