New Holstein – (Special) – Mrs. Henry Meyer, 83, nee Dora Sebelin, passed away at the home here at 10 p.m. Thursday after a five weeks' illness.
She was born in New Holstein on Dec. 7, 1854, the daughter of Johannes and Anna Sebelin. The family operated a flour mill for some time at Calumet in Fond du Lac county. On Oct. 12, 1872, she was married to Henry Meyer and they made their home on a farm west of this city, now owned by a son, John. He husband preceded her in death in March 1909, and since that time Mrs. Meyer has made her home on Wisconsin Avenue in New Holstein.
She is survived by two sons Ernst and John, both of New Holstein; one daughter, Mrs. Henry Welker of New Holstein; two brothers, Charles Sebelin of Chilton and Henry Sebelin of Colorado. Nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral Home here. The Rev. A Schmid, pastor of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church will officiate and interment will be in made in the city cemetery. The body made be viewed at the funeral home from 6 p.m. Saturday until the time of services.
