Ora J. Brewster was born in Fairfield Twp, Shiawassee Co., MI, to Johnson Clark Brewster and Henrietta Elder. Ora's father died in an accident 6-AUG-1870 at Ovid, and his mother was left with five young children to raise. She married Samuel Reed 1-JAN-1879 at Fairfield, and he became their step-father. Henrietta died of pneumonia 12-FEB-1901 at her son Ora's home at 518 Grover Street in Owosso, Shiawassee Co.

Ora Brewster married Olive Ethel Kirk in 1894, daughter of Lorenzo Kirk and Anna Arnes (per her death record).

In 1908, Ora and Olive and their two sons, CHESTER VERNON and CARL JEFF, removed from Michigan and settled in Hillsborough, Oregon, where they lived for five years. Their son, GLENN ORA, was born in Oregon 11-DEC-1912.

From Oregon, the family removed to Prairie Precinct, Coupeville, Island County, Washington, where they raised their sons on their farm.

After the death of his wife, Ora and his sons went to Grandview, and Ora resided there until 1937 when he moved to Yakima where he resided until his death. At the time of his death, his son Chester was of Stockton, California; son Carl was of Grandview; and son Glen was of Yakima.

Graveside services for Ora were held at Coupeville, and he was laid to rest beside his wife, Olive.
