Mr John Monroe Laird, prominently connected in Walton co and for a number of years town marshal of DeFuniak, fell dead on the street near his home last Saturday. Heart failure is supposed cause of death. Services held at home Sunday with interment in Magnolia Cemetery. At the time of his death Mr Laird had be night watchman at the Harbeson mill for about 10 months. He leaves a wife, daughter and granddaughter.
