Mrs Eliza Jane Wilkerson died at her home near Glendale, Fla on Sep 6 1933. Mrs Wilkerson was born Jan 22nd 1868 in Walton Co and lived all her life in her native county. She was the daughter of Mr & Mrs Henry Laird, who wer pioneer settlers in Walton coming from Ala before the Civil War. In Oct 1887 she married W J Wilkerson and from this marriage 8 children were born, four of whom survive her. Daughters Mrs J K Harrison, Mrs C H Surrency, sons Thomas E & Dewey Wilkerson, brothers, I V, G W and D D Laird. She was laid to rest in the family plot in Gum Creek cemetery beside her husband who died in 1912.
