Linda Lou Abbott (nee: Belt), 55, of Independence, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at K.C. Hospice House in Kansas City, MO.

Born May 19, 1953, in Jackson County, MO, Linda was an avid fisherman, rock collector and lifelong motorcycle enthusiast who lived life to the fullest. She was employed at Travelers Insurance for over 20 years. Linda counted as the greatest accomplishment in her life, her beloved daughter, Dana.

Survivors include her parents, Alfred C. & Audrey G. Belt, Kansas City, KS; her daughter Dana R. Parvin, Kansas City, KS; one brother David A. Belt, Overland Park, KS; two sisters Diana L. Norton, Paola, KS and Sandra L. Belt, Los Angeles, CA; 1 nephew, 4 nieces, 1 grandniece, 2 grandnephews, her good friend Kenny Niesz, and her constant companion, Madison, her great dane.

A brilliant light has been taken from us, but her memory will shine brightly forever in our hearts. Memorial services and a Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Maple Hill Funeral Home in Kansas City, KS. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
