She was born the daughter of the late Boyd Bennett and Mary Ruth Stover Bennett, on March 26, 1937, in Peace Valley, Mo., and died Nov. 3, 2008, in Springfield, Mo.
She was united in marriage Aug. 31, 1958, in Peace Valley, Mo., to Leonard W. Reavis.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard W. Reavis, of the home, West Plains, Mo.; one son, Gary D. Reavis and wife, Amy, West Plains, Mo.; one sister, Doris Sharp, Springfield, Mo.; two grandchildren, Tyler and Austin Reavis, West Plains, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Kent Reavis; and four brothers, Junior, Paul, Max and Dale Bennett.
She attended the First General Baptist Church in West Plains. She graduated from West Plains High School, later attended Draughn's Business College. She was a Sunday School teacher for over 24 years, was a volunteer at Ozarks Medical Center for 10 years, and a member of the Gideon's Auxiliary. She loved to sing, and had been the song leader at her church for many years.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon's and can be left at the funeral home.
Family visitation will be 6 to 7 pm Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2008.
Burial will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, Howell County, Mo., under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
