SERVICES TODAY FOR ROSCOE BURRIS

Funeral services for Roscoe A. Burris, 48, were scheduled for 4 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Texico Baptist Church. Rev. C. C. Morgan was to be assisted by Rev. Jerry Poteet and interment was to be in the Texico Cemetery.

Mr. Burris, who had been in Curry County for 31 years, farmed southwest of Texico. He died suddenly Monday morning.

He is survived by his wife, Allie; one son, Garry; three daughters, LaJune, Wanda Rose and Zadene; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Stratton of Albany, Ore.; one brother, Lester, of Shedd, Ore.; one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Jones of Albany, Ore.; and two step-brothers and two step-sisters.

Pallbearers were Orval W. Francis, James Gillean, Claude Curry, Roy Marks, A. R. Kleeman, and John Hadley. Honorary pallbearers included Harold Pruitt, Howard Whitener, Murray White, Leon London, P. C. Edwards, C. E.. Armstrong, Ed Muckleroy, Ed Blain, and Tom Snell.
