Thomas Burris 66 of 309 E. Elm died at 9:35am on March 1, 1980 at his home. Born November 14, 1913 in Milltown, KY, he was a son of Elic and Emma Beard Burris. He married Ruby Estes July 29, 1932 in Greensburg, KY.

He was a retired farmer. He was a member of United Methodist Church of Mason City, Optimist Club, and the Over 55 Club.

Surviving are his wife Ruby; his stepmother Delzie Burris of Greensburg, KY; two sons, Joe T. Jr. (Joanne) of Mason City and William (Betty) of Lincoln, IL; a daughter Mary (Louie) Nannen of Green Valley; a foster son, Doug Wright of Sommersville, KY' four brothers, Roy (Katherine), Rue (Hortense) and Eunie (Flodena) all of Greensburg, KY and A.Z. (Ruth) of Columbia, KY; two halfbrothers, Bill of Morehead, KY and Roland of Greensburg; three halfsisters, Mary and Mrs. Shirley Smith, both of Greensburg and Mrs. Joyce Delihay of Clarkesville, TN; and nine grandchildren. His parents, two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.

Services will be at 2pm tomorrow at the Church, the Rev. John Atkins, Rev. Mark Kim and Rev. Robert Paddock officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Cain Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mason City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Church.(Peoria Journal Star)
