Louie Tellor married Mary Clark in 1880 in Clinton County, New York. The young Tellor family travelled west and settled in Southern Illinois. Louie ran a saw mill and provided lumber for his neighbors. Mary was involved in an accident when a horse kicked her in the face. From that point foward her face was deformed in the area around her left eye.
