Mr. McLaughlin died Saturday at Franklin Parish Hospital in Winnsboro after a brief illness. He was a native of Amite County, Miss., a resident of Franklin Parish for the past 53 years, a retired farmer and cattleman.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ida Bartin [sic Barton] McLaughlin of Winnsboro; six sisters, Mrs. Rena Dier of Liberty, Miss.; Mrs. Effie Burt of Brookhaven, Miss.; Mrs. Lydia Lofton of Winnsboro; Mrs. Minervia Lofton of Kermit, Calif.; Mrs. Castella Bartono of Monroe and Mrs. Bernice Collins of Gilbert, and several nieces and nephews.
