Clyde--Edward Gross Aldrich, 72, widely known farmer and horse dealer living on McPherson Highway, Clyde, died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday after a two years' illness. Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Mitchell funeral home, with Rev. F.A. Jordan, pastor of St Paul's Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be in McPherson Cemetery. The deceased was born in Clyde, October 29, 1870, a son of John I. and Susan Gross Aldrich, and was married to Miss Mary Simpson, who preceded him in death on June 16, 1890. (s/b 1915)
Surviving are eight children; Mrs Bessie Bierly of Fremont, Mrs Susan Filson, Mrs Stella Geren, Mrs Alice Dinan, Eddie E., Clayton D., Ralph R., and Ivan D. Aldrich, all of Clyde; 29 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a brother Clare D. Aldrich of Los Angeles. Three of the grandchildren, William and James Filson, and James Geren, are now in the armed forces.
