"Harold Jennings Garriott, 92, Route 2, Williamsport, died at 9:10 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 1997 in Country Care Nursing Center, Williamsport. He was born in Union Township, in Jasper County, October 15, 1904, the son of James and Nancy Hopkins Garriott.

He attended South Marion Schools in Jasper County. He moved to the Warren County area in 1931 and had been a resident since. He was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Pine Village Masonic Lodge #315.

Surviving, are: four sisters, Clarice Bierley, Mary McIntosh, Laverne Fix, all of Williamsport, Helen Cripe, Attica; and three brothers, James Garriott, Williamsport, Robert Garriott, Attica, Billie Garriott, Fowler. He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday) in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with the Rev. John Adams officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica." – Fountain County Neighbor, Attica, Indiana, May 28, 1997
