Roy Clark, 62, passed away early Saturday morning, October 18, 1958, in the Carnegie Hospital, Carnegie, Caddo County, Oklahoma, after a brief illness. He had been in ill health for many years. He had been a resident of this area the past 36 years.

He was born March 3, 1896, in Bonham, Fannin County, Texas, to William Woodson "Willie" and Nancy Elizabeth Franklin Clark.

He married Gay Nell Irvin January 8, 1919, in Chickasha, Grady County, Oklahoma. They lived in Seminole County later moving to the Alfalfa and Carnegie communities. He farmed in the Alfalfa and Carnegie areas. He was a veteran of World War I.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents and brothers.

He was survived by his wife, Gay Nell Clark, of the home in Carnegie, Oklahoma; three sons, Manuel Clark and wife Mae, Carnegie, Oklahoma; Jodie Clark and wife Clara Mae, Carnegie, Oklahoma; Ernest Clark of the home in Carnegie; four daughters, Colleen Irvin and husband C. W. (Willie), Gotebo, Oklahoma; Arlene Irvin and husband Claudie, Gotebo, Carnegie, Oklahoma; Gatha Irvin and husband Robert, Carnegie; and Carolyn Irvin and husband Marion, Gotebo; three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Dollar, Erick, Oklahoma; Mrs. Mandy Bragg, Ontario, California; and Mrs. Vick Coter, McAlester, Oklahoma; two brothers, Jesse Clark and Arthur Clark, both of Texas; and 16 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, October 19, 1958, 3:30 p.m. at the Pentecostal Holiness Church, Carnegie, with Rev. Fred Andrews officiating. Burial was in Carnegie Cemetery, Carnegie, Caddo County, Oklahoma.
