FRED O. BLY DIES AT SHINGLEHOUSE
Shinglehouse -- Fred O. Bly, a resident of Shinglehouse for the past forty years, died at his home, Saturday night (January 14, 1950) He was born at Wellsville, May 1, 1870 the son of Alonzo and Elizabeth Kimball Bly. He was a worker in the oil fields, in lumber operations and in the glass factories in Shinglehouse and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Shinglehouse.

FRED BLY RITES HELD WEDNESDAY
SHINGLEHOUSE -- Funeral services for Fred O., Bly were held at McLaughlin's Home for Funeral, Wednesday afternoon (January 18, 1950) at two o'clock. Rev. Floyd C. B. Aldrich, pastor of the Shinglehouse First Baptist Church, officiated and burial was made in the family plot in Bellrun Cemetery.
Pall bearers were: James Lindsey, William Norton, Ira Press, Donald Enstrom, Burdett Meyers and Curtis Maxson.
Relatives and friends from out of town attending included: Maynard Bly, Port Arthur, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. George DeBarbieri, Henry DeBarbieri, Wellsville. NY; Mr and Mrs Edward Schoonover, Edward Schoonover Jr., and Robert Schoonover, Rudolph, NY; Dr Leon and Mrs. Bly, Cuba, NY; Mrs. Lenna Shaner, Little Genesee, NY; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Johnson, Port Allegany, Pa.
