Lloyd Bernard Cottrell

Lloyd Bernard Cottrell passed away October 5, 1990, at age 86.
He was born September 11, 1904, in Monticello, Missouri. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church of Austin.

Lloyd married Lena Mae Whitson of Wenona, Illinois, in 1923.

He is survived by wife Lena Mae; and sons Don H. Cottrell and wife, Joan of Austin, . . . ; four grandchildren, . . . ; and four great-grandchildren; brother, John R. Cottrell of Denver, Colorado; and sister, Mabel Kalman of Redding, Pennsylvania; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of good friends.

Lloyd was educated in Missouri, Illinois and Utah. he taught at Monmouth College, in Monmouth, Illinois, during world War II. He was a 32nd degree Mason with a 50 year membership. He was a member of Hill City Masonic Lodge, Ben Hur Shrine Temple, Colorado Commandery Scottish Rite Temple, all of Austin, and a life member of Petroleum Lodge, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a life member of Circle Chapter OES, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Early in life Lloyd was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad as a Depot Agent. Later he worked for Amoco Oil Company, retiring after 36 years.

Funeral services at Weed-Corley Funeral Home, Tuesday, October 9, 1990, at 11: AM. His grandsons will be the pallbearers. Interment at the Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Drive. Visitation 7:30-8:30 PM, October 8, 1990, Weed-Corely Funeral Home.
