Edith A. was born to D. Clinton & C.Anne (Bowles) Blacker, at the farm home in Brownscreek, twp. Jewell Co., KS.
On June 11,1910, she married J. Edward Riley. To this family were born 2 sons - John Cleo & Keith Clinton. After many long years of hard work on the farm, poor health forced them to retire & move into Jewell in 1954. In 1960, they moved to Beloit, KS. in Mitchell County, to be close to their children. Her husband died the following yr. She lived alone in Beloit, until the last six yrs, before her death, when she moved into The Sunset Rest Home in Concordia, KS. She became ill & entered the St. Joseph Hospital in Concordia, Ks. where she passed away in about 2 weeks.
