OBITUARY OF OLD CITIZEN
Cornelius Gleason was born in Downey [Downie], Pearce County [Perth County], Canada, in l852. He was united in marriage with Anna Quinlan in l876 and she departed this life in l906. Seven children were born to their union, four of whom are living.

The funeral was held from the Sacred Heart Church, Saturday. The solemn high mass was said by Fr. Flannery assisted by Fathers O'Connor and McNiel. He was laid beside his wife in Calvary cemetery, carried to the grave by his sons and nephews.
