Pauline Parkhurst of Miami died Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at her home. She was 91.

Mrs. Parkhurst was born April 23, 1917, in Mineral View, Okla., to Jacob and Hannah (Riggs) Webber. She attended Hudson Creek School and graduated from Fairland High School. She attended NEO College.

She worked at Martin's Retail Store in Bartlesville. After retiring, she moved to Miami in 1978. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was active in Sunday school and WMU. She served her Lord as a faithful deacon's wife and loved her family and family gatherings. She was a member of L'Aitle Sewing Club and loved to sew, quilt and cook.

She married Carl Parkhurst on Jan. 8, 1938, in Joplin, Mo. He preceded her in death March 27, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Ada Garrett and Emma Livingston.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Dan and Joy Parkhurst, Centennial, Colo.; a daughter and her husband, Sue and Mike Boulanger, Broken Arrow, Okla.; two grandchildren, Brett Parkhurst, Lakewood, Colo.; and Kent and (his wife) Alisha Parkhurst, Golden, Colo,; and two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Lauryn Parkhurst, both of Golden, Colo.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at First Baptist Church, Miami. The Rev. Rick Longcrier will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairland Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Harlan, John Estes, Don Helmig, Terry Helmig, Brett Parkhurst, and Kent Parkhurst. Alternate pallbearers will be Bob Collins and Bill Collins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Mission Fund.

Services are under the direction of Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home, Miami.
