FREDRICK R. CURTIS

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon in the Seventeenth ward chapel in Salt Lake for Fredrick R. Curtis, 73, a former Richfield resident who died Saturday in a Salt Lake hospital of complications following influenza.


Mr. Curtis had served in the bishopric at Burrville before moving to Richfield and while in Richfield was active in various church capacities he had worked in the Salt Lake temple for several years since moving from Richfield.


Surviving besides his widow, whom he married in the St. George temple Nov. 23, 1897, are the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Charles Warenski and Mrs. Bert Lambert of Richfield, Miss Cynthia Curtis of New York, Reed and Byam Curtis of Lehi, Clarence Curtis of Oakland, Calif., and J. Lester, John and Lillie Curtis of Salt Lake. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Zilphia Hancock of Raymond, Alberta, Canada and a brother, Nahum L. Curtis of Payson.
