END COMES TO AGED CITIZEN
Levi Bush, For Fifty Years a Resident of Harrison County;
Answers Last Call
Gulfport, August 11-
Levi Bush, an old and respected citizen of Harrison County, died Thursday night last at Lorraine at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 23 days.
He was born in Livingston Parish, La., and at the age of 19 enlisted in the United States Army and fought in the Mexican War under General Zachary Taylor.
Fifty years ago he moved to Harrison County and took up his residence at Lorraine, where he has lived since.
He married Miss Adelaide Breland, who survives him together with one son, J.L. Bush of Gulfport, and a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In all, the union was blessed by six children but five have passed away to their reward.
The funeral took place Saturday morning at Coalville with Rev. Hughes of Lyman officiating.
