Frank Stalling was born in North Henderson, Illinois, July 1, 1884, and passed away at Gothenburg, Nebraska, on August 18, 1945.
He came to Nebraska with his parents (Hosea and Celia) when two years of age. He lived in and around Kearney until he came to Gothenburg in 1923, where he operated various produce stations.
He was married to Helen Conrad on November 12, 1931. Beside his wife . Helen, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Etta Brunner of Wood River, Neb., a brother, Roy , of Chico , Calif., and a brother, Arthur, of Omaha, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
Frank will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He gave a helping hand to many a fellow man. Even in his last days he tried to be jovial and keep his pain from others. he was a very patient, home-loving companion. In failing health for several months, none but his closest friends knew.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Hugo funeral home conducted by Rev. Mearl C. Smith, pastor of the First Methodist church. Pallbearers were Oscar Kampfe, Ernest Haynes, Paul Stanton, Frank Aden, E. B. Karr and E. F. Aden. Interment was in the Gothenburg cemetery.
