John was born in NC June 22, 1930; died in Vero Beach, Indian River Co., Florida, February 4, 1999; buried at Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach, Indian River Co., Florida. He served in the US Army in Korea and Vietnam and attained the rank of Master Sergeant.
She married second September 11, 1966, Terry Woodrow Holt, GSJM-RHV, #199440453. Terry was born in Arkansas, February 26, 1938; died in Morehead City, Carteret Co., North Carolina, May 22, 2019; buried at Bayview Cemetery, Morehead City, Carteret Co., North Carolina.
She was a published poet and lived in Morehead City, NC.
She and John had three children:

b. James Michael Riggs, b. 1957, d. 1957
