Charles Clarence Adams, LDS ID LBQS-2GY, was the son of Sarah Elizabeth Gillikin, LTC6-C1H (1881-1972), and Macajah Adams, KZD2-RDL (1877-1952).


He married in Morehead City, North Carolina, October 12, 1932, Rebecca Marie Austin, 9ZVJ-QMX 1914-1987).


Charley was shot and killed by Harvey Fillingame at Currie's Café at Money Island Beach (near Atlantic Beach, Carteret Co., NC) around midnight Dec 31. 1939, while a group of friends were holding a pre-New Year's celebration.


Charley and Marie had three children:

  1. Betty Marie Adams, G3SP-BYJ (1932-1994)
  2. Fred Cooper Adams, GCWZ-CHW (1936-2012)
  3. Nellie Dean Adams, GLHM-VK9 (1940-2023)
