Maryjean Sparks

Maryjean Sparks, 75, of Waldron, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at Waldron Health & Rehab Center in Waldron.

Born March 28, 1933, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of James Herbert and Zelda (Klave) Berry. She married Tom Sparks on Aug. 11, 1951, and he survives.

Other survivors include a son, Michael Sparks of Vevay; daughters, Karen (husband, Bill) Barker of Waldron and Julie Cunningham of Lakeland, Fla.; a brother, Jim Berry of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Mrs. Sparks graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis in 1951.

She had been living in this area since 1961.

Mrs. Sparks was a homemaker.

She was a charter member of the 49ers Homemakers club of Waldron.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Mary Lundgren officiating.

Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge.
