ZEHR, Katie - Passed away peacefully,
surrounded by her family, on
Friday, October 24, 2008, at her residence
Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton.
Katie was formerly of New Hamburg.
She was born 87 years ago, in Wilmot
Township and was the daughter of
the late Moses J. and Catherine
(Roth) Bender. Beloved wife of the
late Vernon B. Zehr, whom predeceased
her August 17, 1999. Loving
mother of Carol and husband Gerry
Gerber of St. Jacobs, Sharon and husband
Norman Roes of RR 1, Milverton,
Hazel and husband Murray
Gerber of RR 1, Millbank, Brenda
and husband Ray Schultz of Milverton,
Ruth and husband Bud Gerber of
RR 1, Milverton, Rosie and husband
Fred Lichti of Listowel. Sadly missed
by her 16 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren.

and wife Marie Bender and brothersin-

Bender and Daniel Zehr. Katie was a
member of Steinmann Mennonite
Church, Baden and was a former
member of WMSC. Katie enjoyed gardening,
hand work, crocheting, knitting
and quilting. Family and friends
may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral
Home, 7 Spencer St., Milverton Saturday,
October 25, 2008, (today), from
2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The interment will
take place on Sunday, October 26,
2008, at 1:30 p.m. at Poole Mennonite
Church. The celebration of Katie's
life will follow at 3 p.m. at Steinmann
Mennonite Church, Baden, with Pastor
Steve Drudge, Pastor Ilene Bergen
and Pastor Paul Dyck officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made to Mennonite Central Committee,
Knollcrest Lodge, or charity of
