Ruby Shannon Klish, 89, of Oklahoma City, passed away February 11,2005. She was born March 6, 1915 in Rossville, GA to William H. and Laura L. Klish.
Ruby moved from Dale, OK to the Midwest City area in 1951. She Married Mason Clifford Stevens on February 25, 1944 in Shawnee OK. Ruby was a member of Crest Baptist Church in Midwest City. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1933. She had worked at Woolworth in Shawnee, OK from 1935-1946, and TG&Y from 1967-1977.
She was a member of the PTA at Barnes Elementary, the Oklahoma Historical Society, and the Geneological Society. She also enjoyed flower gardening, sewing and genealog.
Ruby is survived by 4 children; Gary of OKC; Sandra of OKC; Jimmy and wife Mary of Henrietta, TX; Mike of Newalla, OK; 8 gradchildren; Laura and husband Michael Englebrecht of Melbourne Beach, FL; Minna Ale and finance John Lairet of Yukon, OK; Christopher of Jewett, TX; Eric of Henrietta, TX; Sean of Newalla, OK; Johnny of SC; and Cody Miller of McLoud OK.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and eldest daughter Sharon Lueree Stevens Ale.
Services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2005, at Crest Baptist Church in Midwest City, with burial at Dale Cemetery.
