11 Sep 2003. Esther E. Daub, 97, of Bunker Hill died Tuesday, Sep 9, 2003, in Lebanon's Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert K. Daub. Born Aug. 19, 1906, in Swatara Township, she was a daughter of the late Augustus and Sarah Gundrum Bernheisel. She was the oldest member of Bunker Hill Evangelical Congregational Church; a member of Bunker Hill Grange for many years, where she served as chaplain; and Lebanon County Pomona and Pennsylvania State granges. Surviving are sons Ray M., husband of Gladys Daub, and Leon A., husband of Murial Daub, both of Bunker Hill, and Ralph I. Daub of Lewes, Del.; daughters Grace D., wife of Richard Fortna of Jonestown, and Sallyann, wife of Larry Boyer of Lebanon; sister Elsie Fields of Grantville; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by daughter Elizabeth Daub, brothers Walter Berheisel and Franklin Bernheisel, sister Grace Bernheisel, three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, 48 W. Market St., Jonestown. Interment to be in Bunker Hill Cemetery. [Lebanon Daily News]
